• A study analyzing 185 countries found Australia and New Zealand have the highest breast cancer incidence, with an ASIR of 100.3 per 100,000 people in 2022.
• Lifestyle factors like aging, alcohol use, obesity, and low physical activity contribute to high incidence rates.
• Breast cancer cases and deaths are projected to rise by 38% and 68% by 2050, disproportionately affecting low-HDI nations.

India Hosts First Regional Dialogue on Social Justice.

• Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the First Regional Dialogue on Social Justice in New Delhi, under the Global Coalition for Social Justice, led by the International Labour Organization.
• The event marked the 74th ESIC Foundation Day.
• Launched in 2023, the Global Coalition for Social Justice promotes decent work, social protection, and fair labor practices with 340+ global members.

India Hosts "Conference on Women Peacekeepers from Global South".

• The Indian Army’s Centre for UN Peacekeeping (CUNPK) hosted the Conference on Women Peacekeepers from the Global South at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
• Organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Defence, it brings together women peacekeepers from 35 nations to discuss their evolving role and strategies to enhance their participation in UN peacekeeping missions.
