India’s Rising Russian Oil Imports Amid Ukraine War.

• India imported €49 billion worth of Russian crude in the third year of the Ukraine invasion, now making up 40% of its total imports.
• China, India, and Turkey accounted for 74% of Russia’s fossil fuel revenues, with Russia earning €242 billion globally.
• Indian refineries exported €18 billion in refined oil, with €9 billion originating from Russian crude.

Trump’s $5M "Gold Card" Visa for US Citizenship.

• Trump announced a $5 million Gold Card visa, replacing the EB-5 program, offering a path to US citizenship for wealthy investors.
• The current EB-5 program, requiring $800K–$1.05M investments creating US jobs, faces criticism over fraud and misuse.
• The new visa aims to attract high-net-worth individuals, granting green card privileges through financial investment.

J-K Police Registers First e-FIR via Email.

• J-K Police Station Khrew has registered its first electronic First Information Report (e-FIR) following an email complaint.
• Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of New Colony Khrew, filed the complaint against Adil Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad Bhat.
• The case, FIR No. 17/2025, was registered under relevant BNS sections in Police Station Khrew.

MP Global Investors' Summit Secures ₹26.6 Trillion Investment.

• MP-GIS 2025 attracted ₹26.61 trillion investment commitments, creating 1.73 trillion job opportunities.
• Combined with Regional Industry Conclaves (RICs), total commitments reached ₹31 trillion.
• Industries & renewable energy sectors received 54% of proposals; 600 B2B & 5,000 B2C meetings were held.

CBSE Plans Biannual Class-10 Board Exams from 2026.

• The Central Board of Secondary Education approved draft norms for conducting Class-10 board exams twice a year from 2026.
• As per the draft norms, the 1st phase of the exams will be conducted from February 17 to March 6, while the 2nd phase will be conducted from May 5 to 20.
• The new National Education Policy (NEP) had recommended that to eliminate the high stakes aspect of the board exam.
