• ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is a major meeting point for the global industry including tour operators, travel agencies, hoteliers, transport companies, destinations, and tech companies.

Mumbai to Host WAVES 2025 Summit.

• The first World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), a milestone event for the Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector, will be hosted by the Government of India in Mumbai, Maharashtra, from May 1 to 4, 2025.
• With a focus on four key pillars—Broadcasting & Infotainment, AVGC-XR, Digital Media & Innovation, and Films-WAVES.
• Animation Filmmakers Competition is part of Pillar 2.

Lithuania Withdraws from Cluster Bomb Ban Treaty.

• Lithuania officially quit the Cluster Munitions Convention on March 6, 2025, citing security concerns over Russia, despite global criticism.
• It is the first EU nation to leave a multilateral arms regulation treaty and is also considering exiting the anti-personnel landmine ban.
• Human rights groups condemned the move, while Lithuania insists it will take measures to minimize harm.
