India’s 1st PPP Green Waste Processing Plant to be Launched in Indore.

• Indore is set to launch India’s first green waste processing plant under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban, using a PPP model to convert green waste into valuable resources.
• The plant will generate revenue for Indore Municipal Corp. and produce wooden pellets as an alternative to coal.
• Green waste from institutions will be recycled into sawdust, promoting sustainability & energy conservation.

India Records 26.07 Lakh TB Cases in 2024.

• India’s National TB Elimination Program celebrated a milestone with 26.07 lakh TB cases notified in 2024, marking the highest ever recorded.
• The TB incidence rate has dropped by 17.7% since 2015, and TB-related deaths have decreased by 21.4%.

• The report, released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 7th meeting of the National Board for Wildlife in Junagadh, Gujarat.
• The River Dolphin in Assam is known as Khihu.
