All-India CPI for Agricultural and Rural Labourers Drops in March 2025.

• The All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) decreased by 3 & 2 points, respectively, in March 2025.
• Year-on-year inflation rates for March 2025 were 3.73% for CPI-AL & 3.86% for CPI-RL, showing a decrease from 2024's figures of 7.15% & 7.08%.
• Inflation rates for February 2025 were slightly higher at 4.05% for CPI-AL & 4.10% for CPI-RL.

Red-Crowned Roofed Turtle Returns to Ganga After 30 Years.

• The endangered Red-Crowned Roofed Turtle has been successfully reintroduced to the Ganga River after 30 years, marking a significant milestone in biodiversity conservation.
• 20 turtles were released into the Haiderpur Wetland Complex as part of a dual reintroduction strategy, with sonic tags to monitor their movements.
• This effort is supported by the Namami Gange Mission and TSAFI project.

MNRE Launches Green Hydrogen Certification Scheme and Workshop.

• The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) organized a workshop on opportunities for MSMEs in the Green Hydrogen Supply Chain, aimed at exploring the role of MSMEs in India's green hydrogen ecosystem.
• The workshop featured discussions on technology collaboration, business opportunities, decentralized hydrogen production, and catalyzing investments in the sector.

Ministry of Labour Signs MoU with Rapido to Boost Employment.

• The Ministry of Labour & Employment signed an MoU with Rapido to enhance logistics employment opportunities through National Career Service portal, aiming to create over 50 lakh livelihoods in 1-2 years.
• The partnership will focus on inclusive hiring, especially for youth & women, with flexible work opportunities.
• Rapido will post job opportunities for bike taxis, autos & cabs on NCS.

Sacred Buddha Relic to Be Exhibited in Vietnam for UN Vesak Day.

• Sacred Buddha Relic from Sarnath will be showcased at UN Vesak Day 2025 in Vietnam.
• The relic, enshrined in Sarnath, will be ceremoniously transported to Vietnam, displayed across key sites like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
• UN Day of Vesak 2025: May 6 to May 8, 2025.
• Theme for 2025: Unity and Inclusivity for Human Dignity: Buddhist Insights for World Peace and Sustainable Development.
