RBI to Issue New ₹10, ₹500 Notes with Governor Malhotra's Signature.

• The RBI will soon issue ₹10 and ₹500 notes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series with Governor Sanjay Malhotra’s signature.
• The design remains unchanged; older notes in these denominations stay legal tender.
• This follows RBI's earlier move to issue ₹100 and ₹200 notes with the Governor's signature.

Haryana Declares Harappan Sites in Mitathal & Tighrana as Protected.

• Haryana declared the 4,400-year-old Mitathal and Tighrana Harappan sites in the Bhiwani district protected under the 1964 Act to prevent agricultural damage.
• Excavations revealed urban planning, red-black pottery, beads, tools, and Chalcolithic settlement remains from 2400 BCE.
• Finds include Samudragupta coins, fortified mud-brick houses, and signs of a bead-making industry.
