Bharat Project Launched to Create 1 Million Entrepreneurs Across India.

• Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched The Bharat Project, a national initiative to empower 1 million entrepreneurs from Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural India.
• The project includes five key pillars: AI-powered Co-Pilot for Entrepreneurs, Education & Upskilling, Bharat Ideathon, BharatSparks for funding opportunities, and Shuru-kar documentary series.
• The launch event took place in Mumbai.

AIIMS Raipur Performs First Swap Kidney Transplant in Chhattisgarh.

• AIIMS Raipur successfully performed its first Swap Kidney Transplant, making it the first government hospital in Chhattisgarh and among newer AIIMS institutions to do so.
• This procedure allows incompatible donors to swap kidneys, potentially increasing transplant numbers by 15%.
• AIIMS Raipur has also pioneered deceased donor organ donation and paediatric kidney transplantation in the state.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Launches Sports Certificates via DigiLocker.

• Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the issuance of sports certificates via DigiLocker and inaugurated the National Centre for Sports Science and Research at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.
• NCSSR will focus on research, education, and innovation.
• One Sport–One Corporate policy will be launched to encourage federation support & attract financial backing for sports development.

India’s Inland Waterways Achieve Record Cargo Movement in FY25.

• India’s inland water transport sector achieved a record 145.5 MMT cargo movement in FY25, growing nearly 8X since FY14, driven by strategic investments, digital tools, and policy reforms.
• Operational National Waterways increased from 5 to 29, with key infrastructure investments of Rs. 6,434 crore, boosting the sector’s growth.

China Launches Shenzhou-20 Mission to Space Station.

• China launched the Shenzhou-20 mission with three astronauts to its Tiangong space station, marking the 15th crewed spaceflight in the Shenzhou program.
• The mission was successfully launched atop a Long March-2F rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre.
• The launch strengthens China’s space exploration efforts, with Pakistan selecting astronauts for future space missions to Tiangong.
