Google Opens Applications for AI First India 2025 Startup Accelerator.

• Google has launched the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First India 2025, aiming to boost AI-driven startups in Seed to Series A stages.
• The program focuses on Agentic AI and Multimodal AI, with applications open until June 30, 2025.
• Selected startups will receive mentorship from Google teams, Cloud TPUs, AI tools, and guidance in integrating advanced AI models like Gemini, Gemma etc.

855 million tonnes in FY25: Cargo handled by India’s major ports.

• India’s major ports have registered remarkable growth in cargo handling in 2024.
• The country’s ports handled 819 million tonnes of cargo in the financial year 2023-24, which increased to 855 million tonnes in FY 2024-25, marking an annual growth of 4.3 per cent.
• The increase in traffic was driven by a 10 per cent rise in container throughput and a 13 per cent increase in fertiliser cargo.
