NCC expedition team scales world’s highest peak Mt Everest.

• National Cadet Corps (NCC) expedition team reached a historic milestone by successfully scaling Mount Everest.
• The team included 10 cadets (five boys, five girls), four Officers, two Junior Commissioned Officers, one Girl Cadet Instructor, and 10 Non-Commissioned Officers.
• The expedition was flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on April 3 from New Delhi.

EAM Jaishankar Begins Three-Nation Visit to Netherlands, Denmark.

• External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar embarks on a three-nation tour covering Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany.
• He will meet leaders and counterparts of the three countries to discuss bilateral relations and global issues of mutual interest.
• The visit aims to strengthen strategic partnerships, focusing on trade, investment, and regional cooperation.

Union Minister launches digital compendium of serving IAS officers.

• Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh unveiled the electronic Civil List 2025, a digital compendium of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.
• He emphasized the IAS’s role in strengthening federal governance and ensuring transparency in administrative leadership.
• The Minister proposed integrating AI-based search features to improve accessibility and efficiency in the Civil List.

India’s Delegation Attends Pope Leo XIV’s Inauguration.

• Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh, led India’s official delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Pope Leo XIV in Vatican City.
• Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Yanthungo Patton, was part of the delegation attending the event.
• The Indian delegation had a personal audience with Pope Leo XIV after the ceremony.

Tripura to Host Fish Festival, Foundation Stone Laid for ₹42.4 Crore.

• Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh will lay the foundation stone for an Integrated Aquapark in Kailashahar, Tripura under PMMSY, alongside a Fish Festival in Agartala.
• The ₹42.4 crore aquapark aims to boost fisheries infrastructure, offering hatcheries, feed mills, cold storage, processing, and marketing services.
• Certificates and Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) will be distributed to eligible fishers.
