CBSE Directs Schools To Set Up "Sugar Boards" To Curb Rising Diabetes.

• The CBSE has directed over 24,000 affiliated schools in India to set up sugar boards that display information educating students about the health risks of excessive sugar consumption.
• Studies show children consume far more sugar than recommended, with 13–15% of their daily calories from sugar, compared to the advised limit of 5%.

7.9% drop in coal imports last fiscal leads to saving of 7.93 bn $.

• Coal imports in the country during the financial year 2024-25 dropped by 7.9 percent as compared to the previous fiscal year.
• This reduction has resulted in foreign exchange savings of approximately 7.93 billion dollars.
• Coal imports in the country totalled more than 243 million tonnes in the financial year 2024-25 as compared to 264.53 million tonnes in the previous fiscal year.

India to develop indigenous two-seater electric trainer aircraft.

• India is developing Electric Hansa (E-Hansa), a next-generation two-seater electric trainer aircraft.
• This indigenously developed E-Hansa aircraft is roughly half the price of imported trainer aircraft.
• The new aircraft is being indigenously developed by the CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bengaluru.
• The E-Hansa is part of the larger HANSA-3 (NG) trainer aircraft program.

India records $81.04 billion FDI inflow in FY 2024–25.

• India attracted a record USD 81.04 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the fiscal year 2024–25, up 14% from the previous year, driven by a liberalized policy regime and strong inflows into the services and manufacturing sectors.
• The services sector emerged as the top recipient of FDI equity in FY 2024–25, attracting 19% of total inflows.
• FDI into the services sector rose by 40.77%.
