Russia Patents Technology for Launching UAVs From Space Station.

• Russia has patented a technology for launching automatic spacecraft from an orbital station, which will become the world's first drone platform equipped with robots for its maintenance.
• This technology is planned to be tested at the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) and later applied in the exploration of the Moon.

Coco Gauff Clinches First French Open Title, Defeats Sabalenka.

• In Women’s Single at the French Open Tennis 2025, American tennis star Coco Gauff defeated world number one Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in final, clinching her maiden Roland Garros title and second Grand Slam crown.
• The 21-year-old became the first American woman to win the singles title in Paris since Serena Williams in 2015 and the youngest from the US to do so since Williams in 2002.

Swimming-Canadian teen McIntosh shatters 400 metres freestyle record.

• Canadian three-times Olympic champion Summer McIntosh set a world record in the women’s 400 metres freestyle at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Victoria, British Columbia.
• The 18-year-old clocked 3:54.18 to better Australian Ariarne Titmus’ mark of 3:55.38 set at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.

Italian Duo Errani-Paolini Win 2025 French Open Women’s Doubles.

• In the French Open Tennis 2025, the second-seed Italian pair Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini have won the Women’s Doubles crown.
• The pair defeated Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina, paired with Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunic, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 for the title in the final.
• It was Errani's second French Open doubles title, and her sixth at a major tournament.

India top the podium at Taiwan Athletics Open with 12 gold medals.

• India wrapped up its campaign at the Taiwan Athletics Open (a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event) on a high, finishing at the top with a remarkable haul of 16 medals — 12 gold, three silver, and one bronze.
• Day 1, Indians competed in six events and clinched gold in all six.
• The final day proved even more fruitful, with the athletes adding 10 more medals to the tally.
