India Pavilion Among Top 5 at World Expo 2025 in Osaka.

• The India Pavilion has been ranked among the top five pavilions at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, alongside the US, Italy, Japan, and France.
• The pavilion showcases India’s rich cultural heritage, innovation, and sustainable development, featuring sections on heritage, Ayurveda, ISRO, and more.
• It has been curated by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.

United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee.

• Pakistan’s appointment to key UN counter-terrorism bodies has caused concern in India, especially following recent terror incidents and military tensions.
• It was established by UN Security Council resolution 1373 (2001), which was adopted unanimously on 28 September 2001 in the wake of the 11 September terrorist attacks in the United States.

UP: 50 delegates from 5 ASEAN countries participated in "Bodhi yatra".

• In a bid to place Uttar Pradesh's Buddhist heritage on the world map, the Yogi Adityanath-led government organised a special six-day Bodhi Yatra, which saw the participation of 50 delegates from five ASEAN countries.
• The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, in association with the Union Ministry of External Affairs, organised the Bodhi Yatra under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) framework.

French Open'25: Carlos Alcaraz defends his crown, beats Jannik Sinner.

• Carlos Alcaraz defended his crown at Roland Garros after beating world number 1 Jannik Sinner in the longest French Open men's singles final in history.
• The all-time classic went on for 5 hours and 29 minutes - which made it the longest final in French Open history.
• He claimed back-to-back titles at the French Open.
• It was the first time that Sinner had lost a Grand Slam final.

Sarah Joseph conferred with Mathrubhumi Literary Award.

• Kozhikode , Prominent writer Sarah Joseph has been conferred with the 2024 Mathrubhumi Literary Award, which was presented to her by Jnanpith awardee and eminent writer Pratibha Ray.
• The award included a cash prize of ₹3 lakh, a citation, and a sculpture by M V Devan.
• The Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel Aalahayude Penmakkal.
