Study Finds Stronger Intergenerational Bonds in Non-Metro Cities.

• The youth and elders share notably stronger traditional values and intergenerational bonds in non-metro cities than metros, reveals a first-of-its-kind study conducted by HelpAge India to mark the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD).
• Two-thirds of elders and 70 per cent of youth out of a total of 5789 respondents surveyed in 10 cities, report their daily interaction at home.

Consumer panel pulls up e-commerce website for deficiency in service.

• A district consumer commission held an e-commerce website guilty of deficiency in service for failing to issue a refund to a customer after delivering a wrong product.
• The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Central Mumbai), however, denied the complainant compensation for mental harassment, saying he had "equally harassed and traumatised" the company's officers.

In forest rights push, Centre sanctions over 300 FRA cells.

• The Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs has sanctioned the establishment of 324 district-level FRA cells and 17 state-level
• FRA cells under the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyaan to facilitate implementation of Forest Rights Act, 2006 (FRA).
• FRA Cells are State and District-level administrative units to accelerate the implementation of the FRA.

2nd batch of NAKSHA phase 2 capacity building programme.

• The Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Union Ministry of Rural Development, will launch the second batch of Phase 2 of the National Geospatial Knowledge-Based Land Survey of Urban Habitations (NAKSHA) Capacity Building Programme.
• The week-long training will be held across four National Centres of Excellence.

Yajik Hillang bags Gold medal at South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique.

• India’s Yajik Hillang won Gold medal at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2025 at Thimphu in Bhutan.
• She secured 1st position in the Women’s Model Physique upto 155 cm event.
• Yajik hails from Arunachal Pradesh and she has became the first female Physique Sports athlete from the state to win a Gold medal at an international event.
