First-ever Khelo India Water Sports to be held in Srinagar’s Dal Lake.

• The first-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival will be held at Srinagar’s iconic Dal Lake.
• The three-day water sports festival will see five sports: kayaking and canoeing, rowing, water skiing, shikara race and dragon boat.
• The open-age competition is expected to see participation of more than 400 athletes from the 36 States and Union Territories.

Gujarat: 3rd Indian state to cross 1 crore stock market investors.

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has advised all banks to integrate the Financial Fraud Risk Indicator tool.
• It was launched by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Intelligence Unit in May 2025.
• It is a risk-based metric that classifies a mobile number to have been associated with Medium, High, or Very High risk of financial fraud.

Australian govt confirms $2.2 billion funding for 2032 Brisbane Games.

• The Australian government has confirmed it will contribute A$3.435 billion ($2.25 billion) towards the A$7.1 billion cost of building the venues for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
• The main stadium, which is estimated to cost A$3.7 billion, will be built in the city’s Victoria Park and seat 60,000 during the Olympics and 3,000 more for Australian Rules football and cricket matches after 2032.

Deepika Padukone to get star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.

• Deepika Padukone to receive a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.
• This makes her the second Indian to receive the honour after Sabu Dastagir, who was the first Indian actor to receive a star in 1960.
• The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Deepika Padukone as a part of the Motion Pictures category for the Class of 2026.

Aamir Khan to be chief guest at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2025.

• The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) has announced that superstar Aamir Khan will be the chief guest for the 16th edition of the film gala.
• The festival, will include a special retrospective to celebrate Aamir's extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.
• There will also be a spotlight event surrounding Khan's latest release Sitaare Zameen Par.
