Share of clean energy in India’s electricity less than 30%.

  • India has reached 50% of its total installed electricity capacity from non-fossil fuel sources, achieving its NDC target five years early.
  • However, these sources contribute less than 30% to actual power generation.
  • Despite the rise in clean energy, the slower rise utilisation is due to its lower capacity utilisation factor.

SEBI Launches VCF Settlement Scheme 2025 for Legacy Compliance.

  • It applies to VCFs that migrated to the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) regime.
  • The scheme provides a one-time settlement window to resolve legacy regulatory breaches.
