Bangladesh’s first National MPI reveals stark child poverty: UNICEF.

• Bangladesh released its first National Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), supported by UNICEF and the European Union (EU).
• 28.9% of children live in multidimensional poverty, compared to 21.44% of adults.
• Children are 35% more likely to suffer multidimensional poverty than adults.
• Over 39 million people in Bangladesh live in multidimensional poverty.

Putin orders gov't to develop Russia's high-speed rail roadmap.

• Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the creation of a roadmap for a high-speed rail network.
• The roadmap must be developed by March 31, 2026.
• An initial fund of 300 billion rubles will be allocated from the National Wealth Fund.
• The project focuses on the Moscow–St. Petersburg high-speed rail line, Russia’s first high-speed railway.

Haryana cabinet approves amendments to mineral mining rules.

• The Haryana Cabinet approved amendments to mineral mining rules.
• This enables the state to implement the Inter-State Transit Pass (ISTP) framework.
• A fee of ₹80 per metric tonne will be charged on all vehicles transporting minerals into Haryana.
• The fee is applicable regardless of the destination or consumption point.
• Payment must be made through the relevant department’s portal.

Lucknow to Name New Road After Space Hero Shubhanshu Shukla!

• Lucknow will honour space hero Shubhanshu Shukla by naming a road after him.
• The road, to be called Shubhanshu Shukla Marg, will be located in Triveni Nagar.
• It will lead directly to his ancestral home.
• The Lucknow Municipal Corporation has sanctioned a ₹10 lakh budget for the project.
• The initiative is seen as a tribute to his contribution to India’s space journey.

• Uttar Pradesh (UP) marked a milestone by getting its first privately managed railway station.
• Gomti Nagar is now the first private railway station in Uttar Pradesh and the entire Northeast Railway zone.
