NASA Fast-Tracks Plans to Build Nuclear Reactor on the Moon by 2030.

• NASA plans to fast-track the construction of a nuclear reactor on the moon by 2030 as part of its broader goal to establish a permanent human base.
• The reactor will have a 100-kilowatt capacity, which is smaller than on-shore wind turbines that generate 2-3 megawatts.
• China and Russia also have plans to build automated nuclear power stations on the moon by 2035.

IIT Roorkee Develops Compound 3b to Enhance Meropenem Against Superbug.

• IIT Roorkee researchers developed Compound 3b, a novel drug candidate to restore the effectiveness of Meropenem against drug-resistant bacteria.
• The drug targets infections caused by KPC-2-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae, a superbug listed among the WHO's top-priority threats.
• Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria evolve to survive medicines, making them harder to treat.
