Piyush Goyal inaugurates India’s first all-women food hub in Mumbai.

• Union Minister Piyush Goyal, MP from North Mumbai, inaugurated Mauli, the first All-Women Operated Clean Street Food Hub in Kandivani, Mumbai.
• The hub is entirely managed by Self-Help Group (SHG) women.
• Women received training under FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification).
• Focus: Safe, hygienic, and clean street food businesses.

PM Modi inaugurates ₹11,000 cr highway projects in Delhi.

• PM Narendra Modi inaugurated two National Highway projects worth around ₹11,000 crore in New Delhi.
• Dwarka Expressway (Delhi section) – 10.1 km, cost ₹5,300+ crore, will connect Yashobhoomi, DMRC Blue & Orange lines, Bijwasan railway station, and Dwarka bus depot.
• Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) – Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch, cost ₹5,580 crore, with new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat.

Ayush Ministry to host 30th Ayurveda Seminar on Child Health in Delhi.

• Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, under the Ministry of Ayush, is organising its 30th National Seminar in New Delhi.
• Theme (2025): Management of Illness and Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda.
• The two-day seminar will gather scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students.
• Focus: Traditional Ayurvedic approaches + evidence-based practices for child health and wellness.

Puducherry marks De Jure Transfer Day, honouring freedom fighters.

• De Jure Transfer Day celebrated in Puducherry on August 16, 1962 (formal transfer date).
• Marks transfer of French settlements – Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam – to the Indian Union under the Treaty of Cession.
• Earlier, in 1954, a referendum at Keezhur showed majority support for merging with India.

Anahat Singh finishes runner-up at NSW Squash Bega Open 2025.

• Final Match: Top seed Anahat Singh (India) vs Second seed Habiba Hani (Egypt).
