CISF launches first all-women commando unit in Madhya Pradesh.

• CISF introduced its first all-women commando unit to boost gender parity.
• Training is being held at Regional Training Centre, Barwaha (Madhya Pradesh).
• 30 women personnel are undergoing an 8-week advanced course.
• Training covers fitness, weapons, live-fire, rappelling, survival drills.
• Commandos will join Quick Reaction Teams and Special Task Forces.

ISRO conducts first Integrated Air Drop Test for Gaganyaan mission.

• ISRO successfully carried out Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-01).
• Aim: Validate parachute-based deceleration system for Gaganyaan.
• Conducted jointly with IAF, DRDO, Indian Navy, and Coast Guard.
• Test evaluated full suite of parachutes for crew module safety.
• Ensures safe re-entry and splashdown of astronauts in human spaceflight.
• Critical step toward India’s first human spaceflight.

Sourav Ganguly named head coach of Pretoria Capitals for SA20 2026.

• Sourav Ganguly takes up his first coaching role with Pretoria Capitals.
• Appointment announced for SA20 2026 season.
• Replaces Jonathan Trott, who left the role a day earlier.
• Post-retirement (2008), Ganguly served as BCCI President and is now ICC Men’s Cricket Committee Chair & CAB President.
• In IPL, he worked as Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals; earlier served as mentor in 2019.

Madhya Pradesh tops medal tally at first Khelo India Water Sports Fest.

• Khelo India Water Sports Festival concluded at Dal Lake, Srinagar.
• Event duration: 3 days, organised by SAI & J&K Sports Council.
• Madhya Pradesh emerged champion with 18 medals (10 Gold, 3 Silver, 5 Bronze).
• MP dominated kayaking & canoeing, sweeping all 4 gold medals.
• With Odisha (10 medals) and Kerala (seven medals) rounding up the top-three.
