Indian students shine at International Earth Science Olympiad.

• At IESO 2025 in Jining, China (Aug 8–16), Team India won 7 medals: 1 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze, plus 3rd Prize in I-GYM Reporter.
• Winners: Rayansh Gupta (Gold, Silver & I-GYM prize), Charuvrat Bains (2 Silver, 1 Bronze), Apam Nidhi Pandey (1 Silver), and Priyanshi Ghanghas (1 Bronze).
• Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh felicitated the students, lauding their global scientific excellence.

Major GST cuts to support farmers & cooperatives.

• Over 10 crore dairy farmers to benefit; milk & paneer exempted, butter & ghee at 5% GST, ensuring affordability.
• Processed foods like cheese, pasta, jams, fruit pulps and drinks now taxed at 5%, lowering household costs and boosting food & dairy cooperatives.
• GST slashed on tractors, fertiliser inputs, bio-pesticides, packaging, and transport vehicles, easing farming, logistics, and exports.

Niti Aayog's Plan to Double Pulse Production by 2047.

• Niti Aayog has unveiled a strategy to make India self-sufficient in pulses by 2030.
• The plan aims to double pulses production to 51.57 million tonnes by 2047.
• India currently produces 26.06 million tonnes of pulses (as of 2022).
• The production target for 2030 is 34.45 million tonnes.
• The strategy includes using technology, ecological practices, and reforms to boost production.
• The goal is to enhance India’s food and nutritional security.

UIDAI Registers 221 Crore Aadhaar Authentications in August 2025.

• UIDAI recorded over 221 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in August 2025.
• This shows India’s increasing use of digital systems and services.
• Aadhaar is playing a key role in delivering welfare schemes and government services.
• It also helps in easy and secure access to both public and private services.

Max Verstappen Wins 2025 Italian Grand Prix.

• Max Verstappen (Redbull Racing) won the 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, securing his third victory of the 2025 Formula 1 season and ending a nine-race winless streak.
• The 2025 Italian GP was the fastest Formula 1 Grand Prix in history, with Verstappen averaging 250.7 km/h over a race time of 1:13:24.325.
• Lando Norris (McLaren) finished second.
• Oscar Piastri (McLaren) finished third.
