PM Opens World’s First Bamboo Ethanol Plant.
- PM Modi inaugurated the ₹5,000 crore bamboo-based 2G bioethanol plant at Numaligarh, Assam, the world’s first to use bamboo.
- It supports India’s E20 ethanol blending target (achieved in 2025) and promotes green fuel from bamboo-abundant Northeast.
- The zero-waste plant produces ethanol, green chemicals, CO₂, bio-coal, and 25 MW green power.
AIIMS Delhi Adds Second Robotic Surgery Trainer.
- AIIMS Delhi installed a da Vinci Surgical Robot at its SET facility to train students in robotic-assistead surgery.
- It is now the only institute in India with two training robots, alongside the existing Hugo system.
- The setup offers hands-on multi-specialty training and boosts India’s robotic-surgery education and skill development.
Indian Navy Launches Third Diving Support Craft DSC A22.
- The DSC A22, third of five Diving Support Crafts, was launched on 12 Sept 2025 at Titagarh, Kolkata by TRSL.
- These 380-ton catamaran hull ships are equipped with state-of-the-art diving systems for coastal operations.
- Built under Make in India, they showcase indigenous design, IRS compliance, and NSTL-tested hydrodynamics.
PM Releases ₹100 Coin Honouring Bhupen Hazarika.
- PM Modi unveiled a ₹100 coin and a postage stamp in Guwahati to mark the centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika.
- The event celebrated his 1,500+ songs on humanity, justice, and patriotism, and his role as the Bard of Brahmaputra who popularised Northeast folk culture.
- Hazarika earned top honours, including Padma Vibhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and Bharat Ratna.
Indian Navy Inducts Anti-Submarine Warfare Ship "Androth".
- Androth, the second of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts, was delivered to the Navy by GRSE Kolkata on 13 Sept 2025.
- The 77m-long indigenous ship has torpedoes, ASW rockets, and advanced SONAR for effective submarine detection and engagement.
- Built with 80% indigenous content, it boosts self-reliant shipbuilding and coastal defence capabilities.
