Goa Unveils Logo and Anthem for FIDE World Cup 2025.

• Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant unveiled the official logo and anthem for the FIDE World Cup 2025 in Panaji, Goa, marking the return of global chess to India after 23 years.
• The anthem, titled It’s Your Move, sung by Daler Mehndi.
• The logo represents Goa’s cultural vibrancy through three panels: Green, Red and Yellow.
• The World Cup will be held in North Goa.

Chennai gets India’s first real-time flood forecast system.

• Chennai has become the first Indian city to fully implement a Real-Time Flood Forecasting and Spatial Decision Support System (RTFF & SDSS), operational since October 2025, marking a major milestone in urban climate resilience.
• Funded by the World Bank’s Project Development Grant Fund (PDGF).
• The project positions Chennai as a model for urban flood preparedness.

India re-elected as Vice-Chair of COP10 Bureau.

• India has been re-elected as Vice-Chairperson of the Bureau for the Asia-Pacific (Group IV) at the 10th Conference of Parties (COP10) to the International Convention against Doping in Sport, held at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris.
• Azerbaijan was elected Chairperson, while Brazil, Zambia, and Saudi Arabia joined as Vice-Chairs representing their respective regions.

Cipla and Eli Lilly Partner to Promote Tirzepatide as Yurpeak in India.

• Cipla and Eli Lilly and Company (India) have agreed to distribute and promote tirzepatide for type 2 diabetes and chronic weight management under the new brand Yurpeak in India.
• Under the partnership, Cipla will have the exclusive rights to distribute and promote Yurpeak, the second brand name for tirzepatide in India.

Vedanta Group to Invest ₹1 Lakh Crore in Odisha.

• Vedanta Group announced an additional ₹1 lakh crore investment in Odisha, which is expected to generate over 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
• The investment includes the establishment of a ₹2,000-crore ferro-alloys plant in Keonjhar and the development of two new aluminium parks in Jharsuguda and another location identified by the state government.
