Bajrang Setu: First Glass Suspension Bridge at Rishikesh.

• Bajrang Setu will replace the iconic Laxman Jhula, closed in 2019 due to safety concerns, after almost 90 years of service.
• The 132-meter-long bridge features a 5-meter-wide steel deck for two-wheelers and 1.5-meter-wide glass walkways for pedestrians.
• The ₹60 crore project is expected to be completed by December 2025.

UIDAI Launches SITAA to Enhance Aadhaar Security and Drive Innovation.

• The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched the SITAA programme, which stands for Scheme for Innovation and Technology Association with Aadhaar.
• SITAA aims to promote innovation, collaboration, and research within India's digital identity ecosystem.
• UIDAI is collaborating with MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) and NASSCOM to implement the programme effectively.

Launch of the Sevilla Forum on Debt at UNCTAD16.

• Sevilla Forum on Debt was launched at the 16th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD16) in Geneva.
• Led by Spain, with support from UNCTAD and UN DESA, the forum aims to establish a permanent, inclusive platform for dialogue on sovereign debt challenges.
• The initiative is a key outcome of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4).

5th Edition of "An Eye on Methane: From Measurement to Momentum".

• UNEP released the fifth edition of An Eye on Methane: From Measurement to Momentum, emphasizing the high methane emissions from energy, agriculture, and waste sectors.
• Methane is 80 times more potent than CO₂ over 20 years, making its reduction critical in addressing global warming.
• Around 60% of methane emissions come from human activities.

Karnataka IT Minister Inaugurates Kavach 4.0 Manufacturing Facility.

• Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge inaugurated the manufacturing facility for Kavach 4.0, India’s next-generation Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system.
• Kavach 4.0 is a significant milestone in railway safety and technology innovation, developed in collaboration between NOVA Control Tecnologix (NOVA) and Tata Elxsi.
