Indian Army to honour "Operation Pawan" martyrs for the first time.

• For the first time in 38 years, the Indian Army will officially commemorate soldiers who died in Operation Pawan, India’s major overseas mission in Sri Lanka (1987–1990).
• Operation Pawan began after India deployed the IPKF under the Indo–Sri Lanka Accord (1987).
• On 26 November, the Army will hold a formal tribute at the National War Memorial.

India ranks 36th in Commitment to Development Index 2025.

• Commitment to Development Index (CDI) 2025 is published by the Centre for Global Development to assess how countries support international development through policies, not just foreign aid.
• India secured an overall rank of 36th among 38 countries, reflecting a mixed performance across eight policy components.
• Sweden topped the index, followed by Germany, Norway, Finland, and the UK.

India sends 23-member team to WorldSkills Asia 2025.

• India sent off its contingent for the WorldSkills Asia Competition 2025 to be held in Chinese Taipei.
• This is the first time India is participating in the WorldSkills Asia platform.
• The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is leading the contingent, with WorldSkills India as the implementation and knowledge partner.

India wins second straight Women’s Kabaddi World Cup.

• India women’s team secured their second consecutive Women’s Kabaddi World Cup title in Dhaka.
• They defeated Chinese Taipei in the final by a score of 35–28.
• India beat Iran in the semi-final.
• Chinese Taipei remained unbeaten in the group stage.
• They defeated host Bangladesh to secure a place in the final.

Dubai approves largest-ever budget for 2026–2028 cycle.

• Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved Dubai’s largest three-year budget, with a total expenditure of AED 302.7 billion and projected revenues of AED 329.2 billion for 2026–2028.
• The budget supports sustainable economic growth, strengthened public services, and enhanced global competitiveness of Dubai.
