Brookfield to Build Asia’s Largest GCC in Mumbai’s Powai.

• Brookfield Asset Management announced a $1 billion investment to develop Asia’s largest Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Powai, Mumbai.
• The project will span 2 million square feet and support a multinational bank under a long-term 20-year agreement.
• The project is being built under an agreement between MMRDA and a Brookfield-led venture.

MSME Ministry Partners Amazon to Boost PM Vishwakarma Artisans.

• The Ministry of MSME signed an MoU with Amazon Seller Services in New Delhi to support artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
• The partnership aims to enhance online market access, enabling artisans to reach customers across India.
• Amazon Karigar will serve as the digital promotion initiative.
• PM Vishwakarma Scheme, launched in September 2023.

Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve to Become New Cheetah Habitat.

• Madhya Pradesh is set to develop the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve into a cheetah sanctuary before the next monsoon session, as announced by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
• Located in Nauradehi, Sagar district, the sanctuary will be the third cheetah sanctuary in the state, following the success of the cheetah relocation at Kuno National Park.

Retail Inflation Rises to 0.71% in November 2025.

• Retail inflation (CPI) increased to 0.71% in November 2025, up from a record low of 0.25% in October.
• The rise was driven by a fading base effect and a slower pace of food deflation.
• Rural inflation turned positive at 0.10%, while urban inflation rose to 1.4%.
• The CPI data was released by the National Statistics Office (NSO).

India Excluded from US-Led Pax Silica Initiative.

• India has been excluded from the US-led Pax Silica initiative, a strategic plan aimed at building a secure and innovative silicon supply chain using critical minerals.
• The Pax Silica initiative seeks to strengthen the global AI supply chain and reduce dependencies on coercive sources while protecting vital materials for artificial intelligence.
