NHAI Rolls Out Paid Internship & Online Portal.

• NHAI, with the Department of Higher Education, launched a nationwide Internship Program aligned with NEP-2020 to build industry-ready talent.
• Dedicated portal offers roles across 150+ NH projects; ~600 interns (up to 4 per project) from IITs, NITs, AICTE institutes.
• 1, 2 or 6 months; ₹20,000/month stipend; 6-month UG batch starts Jan 19, 2026 (500+ applications).

M-STrIPES App Powers Tiger Census at Anamalai Tiger Reserve.

• Digital Census: Staff record tiger, megaherbivore and arboreal data with GPS-tagged transects directly on the app; surveys run Jan 8–14.
• Scale: 340+ staff, 115 transect lines across 1,108 sq km (core + buffer) in Coimbatore & Tiruppur.
• Tiger Trend: ATR tigers rose 10 (2014) → 15 (2018) → 25 (2022); fresh signs and cubs suggest further rise in 2026.

Sanitation Worker Unveils President Murmu's Biography.

• A sanitation worker at Andhra University symbolically released a biography of President Draupadi Murmu in Visakhapatnam.
• The book by Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, titled a lotus blooming in fire, traces Murmu’s rise from hardship to the highest office.
