Gujarat Tops India’s Renewable Energy Capacity with 16.5% Contribution.

  • Gujarat ranks 1st in India in renewable energy, contributing 16.5% (42.583 GW) of the total capacity as of Dec 2025, with top rankings in wind, solar, & rooftop installations.
  • Boasts 25,529 MW of solar capacity, 14,820 MW wind, over 11 lakh rooftop installations, supporting India’s target of 50% electricity from renewables by 2030.

NSO to conduct nationwide migration survey.

  • NSO under MoSPI will conduct a Survey on Migration from July 2026 to June 2027 to generate updated, comprehensive migration data.
  • The survey will cover rural–urban and inter-state migration, reasons, return and seasonal migration, and migrant employment profiles.
  • PLFS 2020–21 showed a 28.9% migration rate, with female migration mainly due to marriage and male migration driven by employment.

Defence PSU Yantra India Ltd gets Miniratna-I status.

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved Miniratna Category-I status for Yantra India Limited, recognising its rapid transformation into a profit-making DPSU.
  • YIL recorded strong growth, with sales rising to ₹3,108.79 cr in FY 2024-25 & exports reaching ₹321.77 cr.
  • Miniratna-I status allows YIL to invest up to ₹500 crore without government approval, boosting indigenisation & defence exports.


India Showcases Rich Culture at 61st International Art Exhibition.
