PM Modi Announces $175 Million Development Package for Seychelles.

• India pledged $175 million in development aid to Seychelles following talks between PM Modi and Seychelles President Patrick Herminie.
• Targets projects in social housing, mobility, vocational training, health, defence, and maritime security.
• Strengthens India–Seychelles relations focusing on sustainability, trade, security, and deepening people-to-people ties in the Indian Ocean region.

RBI Doubles Collateral-Free Loan Limit for MSEs to ₹20 Lakh.

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased the collateral-free loan limit for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) from ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh, effective April 1.
• The move aims to boost formal credit access, entrepreneurial activity, and last-mile credit delivery for collateral-constrained MSEs.
• MSEs recorded 31% year-on-year credit growth as of Dec 2025, leading all industry segments.

AAI Ties Up with Bharat Taxi for Fair Cab Services at Indian Airports.

• Airports Authority of India signed an MoU with Bharat Taxi, a driver-owned cooperative, to provide transparent cab services at select airports.
• These airports covered in Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhuj, Pune, Aurangabad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Agra.
• Offers fair fares, and prioritizes passenger comfort & driver welfare; aligns with Atmanirbhar Bharat & cooperative development goals.

Transcorp Gets RBI Nod for Centralized Payment Systems.

• Transcorp International (TIL) received RBI in-principle approval to join Centralized Payment Systems (RTGS/NEFT), gaining its own IFSC code and a bank account at RBI.
• Enhances its digital payment ecosystem, operational efficiency, and compliance, positioning it for tech-driven and independent growth.
• TIL is a public limited company, listed with Bombay Stock Exchange.

UIDAI Completes 1 Crore School Kid Biometric Updates.

• The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) achieved over 1 crore Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBUs) for schoolchildren in 83,000+ schools nationwide in just 5 months (Sep 2025–Feb 2026).
• MBUs ensure Aadhaar authentication for government schemes and exams; missing updates can cause service issues.
• UIDAI waived charges for MBUs (ages 7–15) for a year to boost participation.
