Sikkim Declared India’s Fifth Fully Literate State Through ULLAS Initiative

Sikkim was declared India’s fifth fully literate state on May 28, 2026.
The recognition was given under the ULLAS initiative aligned with National Education Policy 2020.
It joins Mizoram, Goa, Tripura, and Himachal Pradesh as fully literate states in India.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the Farm to Home programme for direct delivery of farm produce to households through FPOs.

Scientists from Physical Research Laboratory detected strong evidence of subsurface ice near the Moon’s south pole using data from Chandrayaan-2.
The discovery was made using the Dual Frequency Synthetic Aperture Radar (DFSAR), which can scan beneath the lunar surface.
Evidence was found in a small crater within the Faustini crater region.
DFSAR is the first fully polarimetric radar used for lunar exploration, operating in L-band and S-band frequencies.
The ice deposits are significant for future lunar missions as they can support water, oxygen, and fuel production.
