NITI Aayog, Tourism Ministry Unveil "Unlocking Growth in Tourism" Report.

Released by the Ministry of Tourism and NITI Aayog on 30 June 2026 in New Delhi.
Provides a roadmap to simplify regulations and improve ease of doing business in tourism.
Focuses on accommodation, homestays, hospitality, tour operators, and tourism infrastructure.
Aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
Aims to attract private investment, increase accommodation capacity, and generate employment.
Promotes sustainable tourism and community participation.

Delhi Cabinet approved the scheme on 1 July 2026.
75 historical monuments identified for adoption.
Private companies, PSUs, trusts, and NGOs can adopt monuments as Monument Friends.
Government to provide up to ₹2 crore for restoration and conservation.
Adoption period: 5 years.
Aim: Conservation, maintenance, and development of monuments as cultural hubs.

Uttar Pradesh launched the Digi Rover Special Land Survey Campaign on 1 July 2026.
Uses Digi Rover (GNSS) technology for accurate digital land surveys.
Campaign to run across the state till 15 August 2026.
Targets disposal of 79,157 pending land survey and demarcation cases.
Monitored by the Board of Revenue, Uttar Pradesh.
Aim: Transparent, time-bound land services and reduction of land disputes.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta launched the Green Drive Portal under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam on 2 July 2026.
Portal aims to facilitate the plantation of 70 lakh saplings.
Supported by the Vriksh Rath initiative for sapling distribution and technical assistance.
Delhi EV Policy 2026 effective from 1 July 2026 to 31 March 2030.
100% waiver of road tax and registration fees for EVs priced below ₹30 lakh.
EV incentives: ₹30,000 (2-wheelers), ₹50,000 (3-wheelers), ₹1 lakh (N1 vehicles).
Registration of new petrol 3-wheelers to stop from January 2027 and petrol 2-wheelers from April 2028.

DGCA conducted India’s first GAGAN-based satellite landing approach on a jet aircraft.
Performed by IndiGo Airbus A320 at Udaipur Airport, Rajasthan.
Used LPV (Localiser Performance with Vertical Guidance) approach.
Enables precision landing using satellite-based corrections instead of ground-based ILS.
GAGAN developed jointly by ISRO and AAI.
India became one of the few countries with indigenous SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) capability.
GAGAN improves accuracy and reliability of GNSS navigation signals.
