  • A revised passport fee structure came into effect on July 1, 2026.


Navi Mumbai Airport Notified as an Authorized Drug Import Port.

  • The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has notified Navi Mumbai Airport as an authorized port for the import of drugs.
  • Rule 43A of the Drugs Rules, 1945 has been amended to include Navi Mumbai Airport as a notified drug import port.
  • The total number of notified drug import entry points in India has increased to 42.
  • The decision was taken after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board (DTAB).
  • The notification was issued under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
  • The move is expected to improve pharmaceutical logistics, facilitate drug imports, and enhance the Ease of Doing Business.
