Mizoram Leads India in Digitisation of Electoral Roll Forms.

Mizoram ranked first in India in the digitisation of electoral roll enumeration forms during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
The state achieved a 68.05% digitisation rate, the highest among 16 states and 3 Union Territories.
99.90% of enumeration forms were distributed across the state.
A total of 1,301 Block Level Officers (BLOs) were deployed for the revision process.
Khawzawl, Champhai, and Serchhip were the top-performing districts in digitisation.

Novartis Healthcare Pvt Ltd launched Pluvicto, India’s first regulatory-approved radioligand therapy for advanced prostate cancer, on June 15, 2026.
The therapy targets PSMA-positive metastatic prostate cancer using Lutetium-177 (Lu-177).
It works by delivering targeted radiation directly to cancer cells, minimizing damage to healthy tissue.
The drug will be imported from Novartis facilities in Spain and Italy.
India has over 250 nuclear medicine centres capable of handling such therapies.
India records around 2.5 lakh prostate cancer cases annually, with over 50% diagnosed at advanced stages.

Skylark Drones and e2E Rail signed a strategic partnership to deploy AI-powered drone technology for railway infrastructure monitoring.
The initiative aims to improve inspection, maintenance, and safety of rail assets using AI and aerial data analytics.
It enables real-time monitoring of railway lines through drone-based digital twin models.
The system helps in early detection of structural risks and maintenance needs.
The collaboration supports modernization of railway safety and asset management systems.

A global migration study (June 11, 2026) reported that South Asia–Gulf migration reached 19 million (2010–2023).
The migration flow includes people from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.
The South Asia–Gulf corridor (19 million) has surpassed the Mexico–US corridor (13.6 million since 1990).
Average annual migration is about 1.35 million people from South Asia to Gulf countries.
The study was conducted by LSE, IIASA (Austria), and the University of Hong Kong.
