Supreme Court Clears Kukrail Night Safari Project in Uttar Pradesh.

Supreme Court approved the ₹1,510-crore Kukrail Night Safari and Day Zoo Project in Lucknow.
It will be India’s first Night Safari and the world’s fifth such facility.
Project will be developed over 855 acres in Kukrail Reserve Forest.
Features moonlight-mimicking lighting and battery-operated vehicles for visitors.
Will house species such as Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, leopards, hyenas, flying squirrels, and gharials.
Project received approvals from the State Wildlife Board, Central Zoo Authority, and Central Empowered Committee.

India commissioned its first and deepest geothermal wells at Puga Valley, Ladakh.
Developed by the ONGC Energy Centre at an altitude of over 14,000 feet.
Two wells drilled to a depth of 1,000 metres.
Supports India’s first 1 MW pilot geothermal power project.
Puga Valley is India’s most promising geothermal field due to its high-temperature hot springs.
