Amul to Build Global Largest Curd Production Facility in West Bengal.

  • Survey conducted from 2012–2024 by researcher Sarangapani Neog.
  • Study covers Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary in Jorhat district, Assam.
  • Sanctuary spans 20.98 sq km and is India’s only sanctuary named after the Hoolock Gibbon.
  • Western Hoolock Gibbon is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.
