France Introduces EU's First Social Media Ban for Children Under 15.

France becomes the first EU country to ban social media access for children under 15.
Applies to major platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
New accounts for under-15s will be blocked from September 1, 2026.
Existing under-15 accounts will be removed starting January 2027.
Social media platforms will be responsible for age verification.
The bill was approved by the French Parliament after passing both the National Assembly and the Senate.
