• Amritsar becomes India’s second spoke airport under the Hub & Spoke International Flight Operations framework.
• Delhi serves as the main hub, connecting passengers to 20+ international destinations.
• Passengers can complete check-in, immigration, and customs at Amritsar before departure.
• Single baggage tag facility enabled for seamless international travel.
• International connectivity expanded from 7 direct destinations to 20+ via hub.
• Scheme aims to boost economy by $30 billion and create 4 lakh jobs by 2030.

Government Banks Record Sharp Improvement in Asset Quality in FY26.

• PSBs recorded historic performance in FY26 with GNPA ratio at 1.9% and record net profit of ₹1.98 lakh crore.
• Aggregate business reached ₹283.3 lakh crore; deposits ₹156.3 lakh crore and loans ₹127 lakh crore.
• CRAR improved to 16.6% from 14.6% in 2022.
• Credit growth: Retail (19.8%), MSME (19.6%), and Agriculture (16.2%).
• ECLGS 5.0 launched to support liquidity during the West Asia Crisis with ₹2.55 lakh crore credit cap.
• ₹5,000 crore allocated for aviation sector with 90% loan guarantee coverage.

Gujarat Starts e-Zero FIR Initiative to Tackle Cyber Financial Crimes.

• Gujarat launched Cyber Financial Fraud e-Zero FIR service for remote complaint registration.
• Linked with cybercrime helpline 1930; complaints automatically generate e-FIRs.
• Digital FIRs are sent instantly to concerned police stations for investigation.
• Implemented with I4C under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
• Aims to avoid police station visits and improve recovery of fraudulently lost funds.

Vizhinjam Port Receives Final Customs Approval for EXIM Operations.

• CBIC approved Vizhinjam International Seaport for EXIM cargo operations from August 18, 2026.
• Port developed under PPP model between Kerala Government and APSEZ.
• Vizhinjam shifts from a transshipment hub to direct EXIM cargo handling.
• Import allowed for FCL containers with Direct Port Delivery (DPD).
• Export limited to factory-stuffed/self-sealed FCL containers under Direct Port Entry (DPE).
• Operations to follow Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations, 2018.
