PNGRB Approves ₹7,000 Crore LPG Pipeline Expansion Across 1,800 Km.

  • PNGRB approved 3 LPG pipeline projects covering 1,800 km across six states.
  • The projects involve an investment of around ₹7,000 crore.
  • The approved LPG pipeline network will expand from 7,700 km to 9,500 km.
  • All three projects will be developed by GAIL (India) Ltd.
  • Key corridors include Telangana–Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh–Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra–Karnataka/Goa.
  • The pipelines will reduce dependence on road-based LPG tanker transport.
  • They will improve safety, supply flexibility and storage capacity.
  • The network will help transport imported LPG from coastal terminals to inland markets.
