1. Elon Musk's SpaceX creates new world record; launches 143 satellites on single rocket
- SpaceX has beaten the Indian space agency ISRO's record of deploying 104 satellites in a single launch in February 2017. The launch vehicle for the SpaceX record-breaking flight was the Falcon 9 rocket.
- The 143 satellites launched in a single night include commercial and government CubeSats, microsats and 10 Starlink satellites. Onboard was also a spacecraft belonging to Nasa. With these satellites, SpaceX aims to provide near-global broadband internet coverage all over the world by 2021.

- This application will provide all information related to self-employment and the job industry at one click
- The app, prepared under the ODOP scheme and considered to be a master-key for exploring self-employment opportunities to the youth. Through the Udyam Sarathi app, youth would easily be able to get a varied range of business opportunities in different departments and sectors of the state and the Central government.

- This year awardees include Padma Vibhushan for former Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe; S P Balasubramanian (posthumous); Belle Monappa Hegde, archaeologist B B Lal and Narinder Singh Kapany (posthumous)
- Several political leaders including Kate Ramvilas Paswan, former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, late Keshubhai Patel, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan are among the ten Padma Bhushan winners
4. Madhya Pradesh CM launches 'PANKH Abhiyan' on National Girl Child Day; 24 january
- The National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year since 2008 to spread awareness about the inequalities and atrocities girls have to face in our patriarchal society.
- We're launching the PANKH Abhiyan today under the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme wherein 'P' stands for protection, 'A' for awareness of their rights, 'N' for nutrition, 'K' for knowledge and 'H' for health. The abhiyan will go on for a year," Chouhan said at an event in Bhopal.
5. 'Ek Paudha Suposhit Beti Ke Naam': Nourishment Awareness Scheme Of Rajasthan
- A new scheme has been initiated in Sirohi district, Rajasthan to make people aware about importance of nourishment of pregnant women and children
- A plant on the name of well nourished daughter' has been started under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme of the union government
- Under this Scheme on the birth of a girl child a drumstick plant is being distributed by district administration this nutritional plant is taken care of by family members of girl child
