1. Kerala to gets its first human milk bank 

  • The facility will provide breast milk to newborn babies who are deprived of it because of various issues, including the sickness of their mothers.
  • According to the state government, 3,600 babies are born in the general hospital a year and out of those, 600 to 1,000 sick babies are admitted into the Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
  • The breast milk from the bank will reduce the risk of infections and boost the immunity of the newborn babies

  • Subrahmanyan is an eminent engineer who spearheaded the infrastructure business of L&T for several years, making it the country’s largest construction company and 14th largest in the world

3. Ayesha Aziz becomes India’s Youngest Female Pilot at 25

  • Ayesha Aziz, a 25-year-old from Kashmir is the youngest female pilot in India. In 2011, Aziz became the youngest student pilot to get a license at the age of 15 and underwent training to fly a MIG-29 jet at Russia's Sokol airbase the following year

5. Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs ties up with Zomato to bring street food vendors online 

  • The street vendors will be helped with PAN and FSSAI registration, training on technology/partner app usage, menu digitization and pricing, hygiene and packaging best practices. Upon the successful completion of the pilot, MoHUA and Zomato plan to expand this initiative across the country in phases
  • MoHUA said that initially MoHUA and Zomato will run a pilot program by on-boarding 300 vendors across six cities namely - Bhopal, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Vadodara
  • This will give street food vendors online access to thousands of consumers and help these vendors grow their businesses
