1. UP approves scheme offering affordable rental housing for urban poor

• Under the Affordable Rental Housing and Complexes (ARHC) scheme, urban migrants/poor labourers, those belonging to economically weaker sections
• low income groups including factory workers, educational institutions, people associated with hospitality and students will be the beneficiaries.
• Preference will be given to people belonging to SC, ST, OBC, widows, working women, divyang and minorities

2. Maldives inaugurates 'Fiyavathi home for vulnerable children' funded by india

• The grant assistance of USD 6.9 million (MVR 106 million) granted to the Maldives by India
• The aim of the grant assistance is to conduct socio-economic development projects across the country which are of high impact
