World bank has given financial assistance of $1 billion to Bangladesh.

• The government of Bangladesh signed three financing agreements totaling $1.04 billion.
• This is to respond the COVID-19 pandemic and to build resilience to future crises.
• This includes vaccination against COVID-19, expanding electronic procurement and accelerating economic recovery.

3000-Year-Old “Lost Golden City” Of Luxor, Discovered by Egypt Archaeologists.

• The ancient city is believed to have been used by Tutankhamun and his successor Ay during the golden era of ancient Egypt.
• It was found in the southern province of Luxor, near some of the country's best-known monuments.

Japan announces it will dump contaminated water into sea.

• More than one million tons of contaminated water will be released from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear plant.
• The water will be treated and diluted so radiation levels are below those set for drinking water.
