Liverpool has been stripped of its World Heritage status.

• A United Nations committee found that the development threatened the value of the city's waterfront.
• Liverpool has been removed from the list as new buildings are being planned in the city,
• Which according to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee would undermine the site's Victorian heritage.
• This is the third removal from the World Heritage List, the first two being from Oman and Germany.

Sandesh Jhingan has been named as the AIFF Men's Footballer of the Year 2020-21.

• Indian football team defender Sandesh Jhingan has been named AIFF Men's Footballer of the Year.
• While midfielder Suresh Singh Wangjam was awarded the AIFF Men's Emerging Footballer of the Year 2020-21.
• This is the first time that central defender Jhingan has received the Player of the Year award,
• having won the Emerging Player of the Year award in 2014.
• The award winners were selected on the basis of votes cast by the coaches of the Indian Super League and I-League clubs.

The Vice President released the book "Palleku Pattabhishek" on Rural India and Agriculture.

• Palleku Pattabhishekam written by former MP Yalamanchili Shivaji.
• This book is based on rural India and agriculture.
• The Vice President said that villages and agriculture are intrinsically linked
• And we must address their issues holistically so that there can be Gram Swaraj in our villages.

The UP government will set up rural secretariats in the gram panchayats in the state.

• The cabinet also approved the proposal to include 40 lakh Antyodaya card holder families in Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
• 58,189 Panchayat Assistant/Accountant-cum-Data Entry Operators will be posted in Gram Panchayats.
• The process will be completed in six months.

Maharashtra Governor released the book "Kashmir ki kyari mein aag ki lapte Aakhir kab tak?" by Beena budki.

• Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed confidence that J&K will once again regain its lost glory and become a heaven on earth.
• Kashmir Ki Kyari Mein Aag Ki Lapte Aakhir Kab Tak? by Kashmiri writer and social activist Bina Budki at the Raj Bhavan.
• Budki’s book makes references to the turbulence witnessed in Kashmir in the aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
• A magazine Kashmir Sandesh published by Kashmiri Hindi Sangam and edited by Budki was also released.
