Ladakh declared snow leopard as state animal, black-necked stork as state bird.

Ladakh has adopted 2 endangered species, the snow leopard (Panther unica) and the black-necked crane (Grus nicricollis), as the state animal and state bird.
The black-necked storks, considered loyal couples, are found only in the Changthang region of Ladakh.
Snow leopards, whose numbers are declining around the world, are classified as Vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List.

This new platform has been developed by the World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF India) in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
This will help promote a circular system for plastics.
The new platform was launched by Alexander Ellis, British High Commissioner to India.
It will bring together leading enterprises at the national level to pledge to build a circular plastics system.

Smriti Zubin Irani inaugurated the Nutri Garden at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) to mark the beginning of Poshan Maah - 2021.
Plants of Shigru (horseradish) and Amla were also planted.
