American scientists David Julius and Ardem Patpoutian won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Two American scientists David Julius and Ardame Patapoutian have jointly won the 2021 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine on October 04, 2021.
He has been honored for discovering receptors in the skin that sense temperature and touch and could pave the way for new pain-relieving agents.
The prestigious award comes with a gold medal and 10 million Swedish kronor (over $1.14 million).

The self-reliant corner promoted by TRIFED has been started by Ajay bisaria, high Commissioner of India to Canada.
The corner displays a sampling of tribal handicraft and products, offers lists and literature on the products as well as information about commercial purchase and distribution of such products in Canada.
The initiative will help connect tribal artisans from India with the market in Canada.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has distributed the popular Gopinath Bordoloi Award for National Integration and National Contribution for the year 2021 in Assam.
The award has also been given to the Shillong Chamber Choir, the Assam branch of the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust, along with author Nirod Kumar Barua.
The award is one of the largest civilian awards of Assam carrying a cash prize of Rs.05 lakh along with a citation.
The award is named after the 1st Chief Minister of Assam, Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi.
He was a versatile man with outstanding achievements.He was also awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously in the year 1999.
