PM Modi to lay foundation stone of 4 hydro power projects in HP.
- PM Modi will visit Mandi, Himachal Pradesh to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for hydroelectric projects worth over Rs 11,000 crore.
- He will lay the foundation stone of Renukaji Dam project, pending for nearly three decades.
- He also inaugurated the Sawara-Kuddu hydroelectric project.
- This 111 MW project has been constructed at a cost of approximately ₹ 2,080 crore.
- Other projects are: Luhri Phase 1 Hydroelectric Project and Dhaulasiddh Hydro Electric Project.
World Sangeet Tansen festival organized in Madhya Pradesh.
- The 97th edition of the World Music Tansen Utsav in Madhya Pradesh began in Gwalior.
- The five-day World Sangeet Tansen festival begins in the city from December 25 to December 30.
- The program has been built on the theme of the Siddhanath temple in Omkareshwar.
- Not only India but also many artists from abroad will participate in the music festival.
- Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the function.

- The state government had banned the production, use, storage, distribution, transport or sale of 14 types of plastics with effect from January 1, 2019.

- Defense Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone of BrahMos Aerospace cruise missile manufacturing unit in Lucknow.

- The BrahMos project will help in creating 5,500 new employment opportunities.
- BrahMos is a joint venture of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of India and NPOM of Russia.
- The BrahMos missile is named after India's Brahmaputra River and Russia's Moskva River.
- The three wings of the Indian Defense Forces have already inducted the BrahMos advanced weapon System.
- Recently, India successfully test-fired the aerial version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur.
