PM Narendra Modi inaugurates single sign-in portal "Meri Pehchan".

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched multiple digital portals at the ongoing Digital India Week 2022 including a single sign-in portal Meri Pehchaan, a website IndiaStack.Global, MyScheme.
  • The launch came amid the ongoing Digital India Week 2022 in Gandhinagar.
  • MyScheme – is a service discovery platform facilitating access to Government Schemes.
  • It aims to offer a one-stop search and discovery portal where users can find schemes that they are eligible for.
  • He also launched Digital India Bhashini and Digital India GENESIS.


Ukraine's Maryina Vyazovska was awarded the Fields Medal, known as the Nobel Prize in Mathematics.

  • Ukrainian mathematician, Maryna Viazovska, has become only the second woman to receive the prestigious Fields Medal.
  • Often regarded as the Nobel Prize for mathematics, she won for her work on a 400-year-old puzzle about sphere packing.
  • The other Fields medal winners were France's Hugo Duminil-Copin of the University of Geneva, Britain's James Maynard of Oxford University, and June Huh of Princeton in the United States.
  • The medal is awarded every four years to outstanding mathematicians under the age of 40.
  • The only previous female recipient of the Fields medal in its 86 year history was Iranian mathematician Maryam Mirzakhani, in 2014.


New Zealand Cricket Board's big announcement, women players will get equal money as male cricketers.

  • New Zealand Cricket and the players' association signed a five-year deal that will see male and female cricketers receive equal pay.
  • The agreement will see women's players at both international and domestic level receive the same match fees as men across all formats and competitions.


Elorda Cup 2022 concludes; India won a total of 14 medals.

  • Reigning Youth World Boxing champions Alfiya Pathan and Gitika have won gold medals at the Elorda Cup in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
  • Two other Indian female boxers Kalaivani Srinivasan and Jamuna Boro signed off with silver medals.
  • With the acquisition of two gold medals, two silver medals and 10 bronze medals on the conclusion day, the 33-member Indian delegation concluded its campaign with a total grand tally of 14 medals.
  • It was also the debut senior international event for both the youngsters, Alfiya and Gitika.
  • The tournament witnessed top players in action from countries such as India, Uzbekistan, and hosts Kazakhstan, Cuba, China, and Mongolia.


PM Narendra Modi unveils 30 feet tall statue of Alluri Sitarama Raju in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 30-feet bronze statue of Alluri Sitarama Raju at Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district on the 125th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter.
  • The 15-tonne statue was carved out at a cost of Rs 3 crore and installed by the Kshatriya Seva Samiti in the Municipal Park at ASR Nagar in Bhimavaram, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
  • Believed to have been born in present-day Andhra Pradesh in 1897 or 1898, Alluri Sitarama Raju is known for leading guerrilla resistance against the British in the region.
