Kerala became the 1st state in India to provide its Internet service under the name "K-FON".

Kerala has now become the first and only state in the country to have its own internet service.
K-FON – the Kerala Fibre Optic Network – has received the Internet Service Provider (ISP) license from the Department of Telecommunications.
The KFON scheme is envisaged to provide free internet to BPL families and 30,000 government offices.
The previous Left government had 2019 declared internet connection as a basic right and launched the Rs 1,548-crore KFON project.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun.
The 296 km four-lane Expressway has been constructed at a cost of around Rs 14,850 crore.
The expressway would give a major boost to connectivity and industrial development in the region.
The foundation stone for the construction of the Bundelkhand Expressway was laid by the Prime Minister on February 29, 2020.
The work on the Expressway has been completed within 28 months.
Extending from National Highway (NH)-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot district to near Kudrail village in Etawah district, where it merges with the Agra-Lucknow expressway, it passes through seven districts, viz. Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.

The ingenious SSI Mantra, is a brainchild of World-renowned robotic cardiac surgeon Dr. Sudhir P Srivastava.
This machine will revolutionize the idea of surgery practices in our homeland and around the world in terms of precision, technical advancement, and cost reduction, making expensive robotic surgery available for the common people.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has approved the appointment of Ashishkumar Chauhan as the next Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the country’s largest stock exchange.
Chauhan is currently the MD and CEO of the BSE and his tenure will end in November this year.
He will join in place of Vikram Limaye whose five-year tenure ended on July 15.
Chauhan is one of the founders of the NSE where he worked from 1992 to 2000.

Young Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa won the Paracin Open 'A' chess tournament 2022 in Serbia.
The 16-year-old remained unbeaten and finished half a point ahead of the field.
Alexandr Predke took the second spot with 7.5 points ahead of Alisher Suleymenov and India's AL Muthaiah, who both scored 7 points.
Suleymenov grabbed the third place on the basis of a better tie-break score.
Indian GM Arjun Kalyan (6.5 points) settled for seventh place.
