India wins 9th GovTech prize for AI-Powered road safety.

• India has secured the prestigious 9th GovTech Prize for its pioneering endeavors in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered government services, at the World Government Summit 2024.
• The award recognizes the remarkable efforts of the Ministry for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.
• iRASTE aims to reimagine road safety by leveraging AI as a force multiplier in road safety engineering.

Odisha govt to give interest-free loans to youth.

• The Odisha government has decided to provide interest-free loans up to Rs 1 lakh to youths of the state.
• The scheme, called Swayam, will provide loans to 1 lakh eligible rural and urban youths in the age group of 18-35 years.
• The scheme will be operational for two years and Rs 672 crore will be spent from the state's coffers.

• The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will perform at the Air Show to be held at Air Force Station Bagdogra in West Bengal.
• SKAT is one of the very few nine-aircraft aerobatics teams in the world and is the only one in Asia.
• SKAT's motto is Sadhaiva Sarvottam (Always the Best), and the team's mission is to showcase the skills of Indian Air Force pilots and inspire the youth of the country.

UP to collaborate with IIT Roorkee for enhanced disaster management.

• The Yogi government in UP is set to sign an MoU with IIT Roorkee for enhanced disaster management.
• The MoU aims to minimize casualties and facilitate the relocation of people to safe places before a disaster strikes.
• IIT Roorkee will provide specialized training to personnel at the Relief Commissioner's office and conduct research to identify the root causes of prevalent disasters.
