RBI to set up Digital India Trust Agency to check illegal lending apps.

• As part of its efforts to curb growing cyber fraud, RBI is considering establishing a Digital India Trust Agency (DIGITA) to stop the mushrooming of illegal lending apps.
• Apps not carrying the verified signature of DIGITA should be considered unauthorised for the purpose of law enforcement.
• RBI has shared a list of 442 digital lending apps with the IT Ministry to whitelist with Google.

Geologists have found a fault that can create world's sixth ocean.

• Geologists predict that the rift in the Afar Triangle on the African continent could lead to the formation of a new ocean in 5 to 10 million years.
• This is a rare geological phenomenon that involves the gradual separation of tectonic plates.

Miami Open 2024: Bopanna-Ebden clinch title, return to world No.1 rank.

• Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden won the Miami Open men's doubles, defeating Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek.
• Bopanna has become the oldest ATP Masters 1000 champion at 44, surpassing his own record and has topped the doubles ranking.
• The victory has marked Bopanna's 14th ATP Masters 1000 final and his 26th doubles title.
