Japan introduced e-Visa only for Indian Tourists.

• Japan launches eVisa for Indians, enabling 90-day stays for tourism without physical visa stickers, applying via VFS Global.
• Applicants receive an electronic visa and must show a digital visa issuance notice with a barcode at airport check-in.
• India passport ranking as per the Henley Passport Index 2024, is ranked at the 82nd position, with access to 62 countries.

Korea's KSTAR "Artificial Sun" hits new fusion record At 100 Million°C.

• Korean KSTAR nuclear reactor achieved a new milestone by sustaining 100 million degrees Celsius plasma for 48 seconds, beating its 2021 record of 30 seconds.
• This achievement edges closer to practical nuclear fusion, a clean energy source, to maintain these temperatures for 300 seconds by 2026.
• In Dec 2020, It reclaimed 100 million degrees for 20 seconds.

Govt raises Rs 16,507 crore through disinvestment in PSUs in FY24.

• The primary mode of disinvestment was Offer for Sale (OFS).
• During FY 2023-24, the government offloaded minority stake in 10 Public Sector Enterprises via OFS.
• Stake sales in Coal India Limited yielded Rs 4,186 crore, while in NHPC and NLC, the government earned Rs 2,488 crore and Rs 2,129 crore, respectively.
• The government raised Rs 858 crore though Initial Public Offering of IREDA.

Union Health Ministry launches myCGHS iOS app.

• The myCGHS app for iOS aims to improve access to healthcare for CGHS beneficiaries, including features like Electronic Health Records and online appointment bookings.
• It is developed by NIC Himachal Pradesh and the NIC Health Team.
• The app includes secure 2-factor authentication, facilitating various services such as lab reports, medicine history, and wellness center locations.

RN Ravi unveiled "Param Vir Chakra" garden in Chennai.

• Tamil Nadu Governor, R.N. Ravi, inaugurated the Param Vir Chakra garden at Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir in Tambaram, showcasing statues of the 21 awardees.
• Ravindra Narayana Ravi is an Indian politician and former bureaucrat serving as the 15th governor of Tamil Nadu.
• He also served as the governor of Nagaland and Governor of Meghalaya.
